| | Christopher - Friday, 22. August 2003 I was delighted to come across this particular photo of Nepalese boy-monks, as taken by the very talented Kobi Israel, because in it I recognize some familiar faces--- in fact, students of mine in conversational English at the Swayambunath temple/monastery back in 1997. I did volunteer teaching for these monks back then and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed their company. They were simply their natural boy selves -- alternately well-behaved and naughty. Usually after their classes in the afternoon I would join them in their last prayer session for the day during which time they'd chant and perform some ritual duties along with the elder monks. I'm glad to know that Mr. Kobi Israel also had the pleasure of meeting them. Well, I hope that one day I'll also have the pleasure of meeting a fellow artist/traveler/visionary like Mr. Israel. Shalom! Namaste! Tashi Delek!
