I think painters feel a bit lost. After abstracion, what is there to do? Figurative painting? But can someone do better than all the great masters of art history (have they tried everything or there still is more to explore)?
The future of painting seems safe enough, as it always has been in the past. It would seem ridiculus to think that in these times artists of any kind would find inspiration scarce. Perhaps the future of painting has something to do with the abandonment of the history itself.
I think, the future of the painting lie in the Figuration. Example of it smoke, Josephine Scianna, Martin Eder or Bernhard Ammerer is new. Humans want again realistic the something for touching, a stop.
