Are museums not an old-fashion form of promotion of art? Can galleries survive in the long-term? I do not believe anymore in the ability of museums and galleries to promote art; art has to leave those sacred places and to become closer to the public. I therefore wonder if there could not be a new way to promote art inside the industry.

"I believe abstract art is much needed today because of the horrible world we are living in. They say artists should document the historic moment, but what is there to document. By abstract art we are contributing to a world of silence, contemplative, and color where you are allowed, in fact, you are expected to travel thru your mind in which ever way you can imagine things. Abstract art gives us a place to dream, to rest, to meditate. Would like comments about his topic."

found this in an other forum. what do you think?

How do you go about finding a gallery that best suits your work and needs? What steps will it take to get your work into galleries, exhibits, etc.?
